Race Results

Port to Fort is a 6k run/walk that travels through Locust Point, runs along the seawall around the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine and finishes at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Port to Fort is a flat course and part of the course is the same as the Baltimore Marathon route.

2007 Event Photos

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. Fees include a commemorative t-shirt to the first 1,200 registered runners, a race goodie bag and a post-race party with music, food and beverages.

All race proceeds benefit the programs of the Believe In Tomorrow Children's Foundation.


Registration:


  • $20 for the general public
  • $10 for students, active military and Home Depot employees, Families who have participated in Believe In Tomorrow programs
  • All registrations are $25 on the day of the event.
Online pre-registration is now closed. If you would still like to participate there will be registration at packet pick up on Saturday from 12 - 5 pm at Falls Road Running Store and at the BMI on Sunday starting at 7:30 am.

Packet Pick-Up:


Saturday, April 26, 2008, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Falls Road Running Store, 6247 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21209 (map).  Call (410) 296-5050 for directions.

Last Minute Packet Pick-up begins at 7:30 a.m. day of race at the BMI .

By participating in this race, you are helping us raise awareness and funding for our programs! If you want to do more–ask everyone you know to sponsor your efforts, and then see if your employer has a matching gift program–you could double your fundraising!  Fundraising prizes will be awarded, including recognition for the top individual fundraiser!

Event Directions & Parking:


Limited parking is available at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Street parking is strongly encouraged.

Directions From the North: I-83 south to Lombard Street, west on Lombard. Turn left on Light Street and continue past the Inner Harbor. Left on Key Highway, Baltimore Museum of Industry is .75 miles on the left.

Directions From the West & South: I-95 north from Baltimore Beltway 695. Take Key Highway, exit 55. Left at light, go under the overpass and left onto Key Highway. Museum is on right at the intersection of Lawrence Street.

Teams:


Gather a team of co-workers, friends and/or family to participate in the Port to Fort festivities. It's easy; select a team captain, choose a team name and recruit team members!

  • Armed Services Challenge: Award for highest turnout from a military institution. Friends and family can be included on your team!
  • Corporate Team Challenge: Award for most funds raised and largest team.  Friends and family are welcome to join you and your colleagues!
  • Community Team Challenge: Award for most funds raised and largest team. Community teams are comprised of groups of friends, family, churches, schools, athletic clubs, families who have been a part of Believe In Tomorrow programs, etc.

Individual Awards:


Awards will be presented to the top 3 male/female overall finishers, the top male/female masters overall, plus the top 3 male/female finishers in the following age categories: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

Timing and scoring by RacePacket, Inc. Complete results will be posted here within 7 days after the race.

Join us for food, music, the awards ceremony and other great activities for kids and adults following the race.

Important Information:


  • To ensure runner safety, no bikes, rollerblades, "wheelies," pets, or skateboards are permitted on the race course.
  • Strollers and audio listening devices are permitted.
  • Port to Fort is a rain or shine event!
