As the new house is being built, our in-person volunteer opportunities for hospital housing are limited. See below for more details.
Family Suppers
Come host and prepare in-person or sponsor a delicious dinner for our families at The Residence Inn Johns Hopkins which is our temporary home for families while the new house is being built. Volunteers are providing more than just a meal, you are adding to the home away from home environment our families need as they navigate their child’s illness. We are serving a much smaller number of families during this interim time, so 2-3 volunteers max are appropriate for the space.
Wish List Drives
Anyone can become a volunteer by organizing and hosting a wish list drive for our facilities. This is especially a great opportunity for school, community, or social groups to help with! Click here for a copy of our current Hospital Housing Wish List and to set up your drive.
Cookie Baking
Add some sweetness by offering our families some delicious treats as they are walking to or returning from the hospital. Bring your own ingredients and join us to bake cookies (or any kind of baked goods) at The Residence Inn Johns Hopkins where our families are staying. The wonderful smells will bring warmth, smiles and happy bellies.
Special Events
There is no such thing as too much help during our annual fundraising events. Whether providing your time or services before, during or after an event- having an extra set of hands makes a huge impact!
