Pinnacle Falls Falling into Place
A new Believe In Tomorrow Respite Facility is on the brink of opening its doors in the mountains of North Carolina. Soon, Believe In Tomorrow families will be welcome to enjoy a spacious, quiet time of relaxation, with easy access to hiking trails, soothing waterfalls, and more importantly: each other.
Before we can unveil this respite home – more than two years in the making – we need your help in putting the finishing touches on a unique and inspiring home that will serve hundreds of families with critically ill children for generations to come.

Nestled in a nature retreat just below Hendersonville, N.C., where hiking trails and the soothing rush of running water abound, Believe In Tomorrow's newest respite facility is on the brink of opening its doors in the Pinnacle Falls development. Situated in a private, gated resort community, the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls offers families a spectacular mountain setting, trout streams, a community clubhouse with swimming pool, and unparalleled mountain serenity. Families can relax in the hot tub or make use of the outdoor terrace for grilling. Like the Believe In Tomorrow House on the Bay, Pinnacle Falls will give priority to military pediatric respite families.
Believe In Tomorrow provides exceptional hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families. We believe in keeping families together during a child's medical crisis, and that the gentle cadence of normal family life has a powerful influence on the healing process. Believe In Tomorrow developed the concept for the first pediatric respite facilities built in the United States, which help families escape from the stressful routine of medical treatments. By relaxing in a serene setting free of charge, families are able to renew themselves mentally and physically, and spend quality time together.
Believe In Tomorrow owns seven pediatric hospital and respite facilities and has provided over 300,000 overnight accommodations to families since 1986. Each facility is a symbol of the spirit of generosity that exists throughout the United States. The Believe In Tomorrow House at Johns Hopkins, as an example, has a value of over two and a half million dollars, yet was constructed almost entirely from contributions of donated material and labor. The Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls will be using a similar old-fashioned, barn-raising approach for its construction.
Ground breaking for this property took place in 2007. Our volunteer team is currently making this project a reality, and our list of charity partners is growing. The property will open in 2009. We would like to thank the Amick family and Renaissance Communities for their incredible leadership and generosity in this effort.
