The Latest & Greatest

Believe In Tomorrow feels the impact of amazing acts of kindness every day. Since 1982, we’ve accumulated short and long term partners and donors who believe in us. Many of our long term partners are recognized here.

Much of what we receive, however, comes from individuals or small instances of giving back. We appreciate every gift, no matter how small. Read below to find the latest instances of giving, from sponsorship of an event, to generous donations by volunteers, to inspired acts of generosity that keep our programs running smoothly. Your thoughtfulness helps families have the best experiences possible while staying in our hospital and respite facilities, in addition to attending our Hands On™ Adventures.

The Gift of Entertainment

January 2009
Hardwire, LLC donated flat screen tvsOcean City’s Children’s House By the Sea celebrated the holidays this year with the gift of entertainment from a new Believe In Tomorrow charity partner, Hardwire LLC of Pocomoke, Md. Hardwire, a defense manufacturing company that provides composite armor systems for anything from bridges to buildings, gave $15,000 to support BIT programs including a recent Walter Reed pediatric support group retreat held at the House By The Sea as well as seven 32-inch, high-definition flat screens. The flat screens were installed during a special holiday ceremony at the house on Dec. 18.

The televisions came as a welcome addition, replacing 10-year-old sets and allowing families quality at-home evenings.

BIT’s unique partnership with Hardwire will garner quarterly contributions that go directly to benefit the coastal Maryland respite facilities and the military initiative. Believe In Tomorrow proudly welcomes Hardwire employees and thanks them for their generous donations.

Tunis and the Hardwire staff have worked to protect State Department Buildings as well as the U.S. Key Bridge. With their new infusion of cash and support, they’ll be working to protect critically ill children and their families for generations to come.

Unsung Heroes

Every year, Believe In Tomorrow recognizes an Unsung Hero at its Annual Benefit and Auction. This person is someone who goes beyond the boundaries of service, putting heart and soul into thoughtful and inspiring projects for the foundation. The amount of effort, time and assets this person spends makes them more than a contributor; they become part of the heartbeat of the organization and a forever friend. These are our Unsung Heroes.
