Hands On™ Adventures

Our Philosophy: When families face life-threatening illness, and children begin treatment, it’s easy for them to get caught up focusing on the past and present instead of looking forward. Through a series of long term partnerships, Believe In Tomorrow has created a unique program that diverts a child’s attention away from their illness. The stimulation of a new adventure directs attention toward the future.

National organizations continue to provide helping hands forward for Believe In Tomorrow Children from California, to Texas, to Florida and Massachusetts.

The bull riders, blimp fliers, and race car drivers of these companies, men and women who are stars in their own right, take time out of their day and focus off of their task to make critically ill children feel like stars, if only for one day.

“Thank you for the great time at the Pro Bull Riding event. I liked putting my handprint on the chaps! It was fun seeing the bulls up close and meeting the bull riders!”

Children who participate in Hands On™ Adventures receive VIP treatment behind the chutes, in the pits, in the air … wherever their adventure may lead them. Special seating is arranged for guests of arena events and tours are given by organization participants. Many times, children will place “Good Luck” handprints on a piece of “adventure” memorabilia just before its owner wears the item out into the field of competition.

Believe In Tomorrow children who participate in Hands On™ Adventures have a history of falling in love with a sport or activity that they attend and tracking it during and after treatment. As they develop a new fascination for speed or continue watching their favorite athletes touring the country – whether on TV or online – the memories of routine hospital visits fade and become second to their new passion.

We believe this hope and enthusiasm that they discover within themselves aides in a speedy recovery.
