9. What is the Hospital Housing Program?
As a leader in hospital housing, Believe In Tomorrow offers families a place to stay when traveling far from home for medical treatment.  The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins provides a “home-away-from-home” to families worldwide who are traveling to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment.  The 15-bedroom facility offers a community of support while also providing over 1,000 individual overnight accommodations each month to children and their families.  A second hospital housing facility, the Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir, located in Canton, Md., has seven individual apartments.  This nationally significant project is the first stand-alone hospital housing facility in the United States to focus exclusively on the long-term housing needs of pediatric bone marrow transplant patients, and their parents and siblings. back to top

10. What is the Retreat Housing Program?
With the only respite housing program in the United States, Believe In Tomorrow provides children with life threatening illnesses and their families an escape from the stressful routine of medical treatments.  By relaxing, a free of charge, in a beautiful facility in a top destination spot, families are able to renew themselves mentally and physically, and spend quality time together while enjoying a wide range of activities.  Believe In Tomorrow has a variety of generous donors who provide free meals and free activities for the families to also enjoy while staying at the retreat facility. back to top

11. What is the Military Initiative?
While getting treatment for their child at a military hospital, families in the United States Armed Forces often are far from home without the support of extended family members.  The Military Initiative prioritizes military families in our retreat housing facility.  Believe In Tomorrow therefore acts as an outside support system that gives the opportunity for the families to be together in a comfortable environment.  As we continue to serve both military and civilian families in all of our facilities, two retreat houses opening in May 2008, the Believe In Tomorrow House By The Bay and the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls will be dedicated to the Military Initiative. back to top

12. Which facilities are exclusively dedicated to the Military Initiative?

These new houses opening in May 2008 will be dedicated to military families, while all other Believe In Tomorrow facilities will continue to serve both civilian and military families. back to top
