1. Who is Believe In Tomorrow?
Founded in 1982, Believe In Tomorrow is a national leader in hospital and retreat housing.
The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins is a 15-bedroom facility with communal kitchen, dinning room and common room areas. The Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir is a 7-apartment facility created to serve the long-term needs of bone marrow transplant patients and their families.
These facilities provide a "home-away-from-home."
We have three retreat houses with two additional facilities opening in May 2008:
Believe In Tomorrow House By The Sea, in Ocean City, MD (a 5-condo facility)
Believe In Tomorrow House on Fenwick Island in DE
Believe In Tomorrow House on Wisp Mountain, in the Allegheny Mountains in MD
Believe In Tomorrow House on the Bay in Ocean City, MD. (Opening May 2008)
Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls in NC (Opening May 2008)
In 2005, Believe In Tomorrow started the Military Initiative, which prioritizes military families with critically ill children in our retreat facilities. We serve both civilian and military families in all of our houses, except the Believe In Tomorrow House On The Bay and the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls, which are dedicated to the Military Initiative.
These retreat facilities provide a break from the daily stress of the hospital and allow families to enjoy time together at these retreat destinations. back to top
2. Is Believe In Tomorrow a “wish granting” organization?
Although founded in 1982 as a wish granting organization, Believe In Tomorrow does not grant wishes. Instead, we provide continual support during a child’s treatment.
We now focus on three programs:
Retreat Housing, Hospital Housing, Hands On™ Adventures

4. How does my child apply?
How to Apply for Retreat Housing Program:
All families are required to fill out an application. The medical assessment must be filled out by a physician only. A healthcare worker also has a section to fill out. Once our program staff has reviewed the application a letter will be mailed to the family letting them know whether we are able to offer our services.
Download application.
How to apply for Hospital Housing Program:
To apply, please have your Medical Office Coordinator, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker fill out one of our faxable referral forms and send it to us. Once we receive the referral, we will process your request while taking into account the severity of your child's condition and the nature of your visit. Families can not self refer. Medical Office Coordinators and Licensed Clinical Social Workers should already
have the Believe In Tomorrow referral form.
