Family Stories

Respite Spotlight: The Inglese Family from Palm harbor, FL.

Dear Believe In Tomorrow,

This thank you is long overdue, but I was waiting for my sister to download the pictures, so I could give you a taste of what a wonderful time we had. First, I want to thank all the staff (and volunteers). You are truly amazing and kind hearted.

We did need to leave the (Believe In Tomorrow House on Wisp Mountain) early, but we are so thankful for the time we had. The boys really enjoyed the time we had at the cabin. They want to go back, even though it’s such a long drive.

To my surprise, Jordan loved the mountain roller coaster.  When I (first) saw the roller coaster, I thought there is no way he is going to go on it. Not only did he ride the roller coaster several times – he kept wanting to go faster and faster…and this is Mr. Cautious!

I have to admit, I almost cancelled this trip. The thought of packing up three kids and driving to Western Maryland from Florida, didn’t sound like much fun. But I am so glad to say we did.

I want all of the sponsors, staff and board members to know that it is nice to have a foundation that focuses on families just being together.  Your time, energy and funding is well spent. You give families time to just, well, be together. It sounds simple, but it’s not. Toys and gifts come and go, but the memories (we created) at the (Believe In Tomorrow House on Wisp Mountain) will be with us forever.

Life is about living, doing things and spending time together. We enjoyed playing board games and just relaxing in the house – without the TV on. With the help of Believe In Tomorrow, we have created many joyful memories. Too many of our little friends have lost their battle with cancer. I do not want to look back and say I wish we would have – I want to say I’m glad we did. No one knows what tomorrow may bring, so create joy every day.

Thanks again.
