- Who is Believe In Tomorrow?
Founded in 1982, Believe In Tomorrow is a national leader and innovator in hospital and respite housing.
The Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins is a 15-bedroom facility with communal kitchen, dinning room and common room areas. The Believe In Tomorrow House at St. Casimir is a seven apartment facility created to serve the long-term needs of bone marrow transplant patients and their families. These facilities provide a "home-away-from-home."
We have five respite houses:
In 2005, Believe In Tomorrow developed the Military Initiative, which prioritizes military families with critically ill children in our respite facilities. We serve both civilian and military families in all of our houses, but have dedicated the Believe In Tomorrow House on the Bay and the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls to the Military Initiative. These respite facilities provide a break from the daily stress of the hospital and allow families to enjoy time together at these top respite destinations. back to top

- How does my child apply?
How to Apply for Respite Housing Program:
All families are required to fill out an application. The medical assessment must be filled out by a physician only. A healthcare worker also has a section to fill out. Once our program staff has reviewed the application a letter will be mailed to the family letting them know their status in our programs.
How to apply for Hospital Housing Program:
To apply, please have you Medical Office Coordinator or Licensed Clinical Social Worker fill out a referral and send it to us. Referrals are available online for JHH hospital staff only. Families may not self refer. If your hospital contact is unfamiliar with the referral process he or she should call the Family Care Manager at 410-614-2560. Once we receive the referral, we will process your request while taking into account the severity of your child's condition and the nature of your visit.
