The Ride of a Lifetime

Believe In Tomorrow's Hands On Flying Adventures Gives Nine Year old McKenzie Smith and her Cousin Blake, the Ride of a Lifetime.

Nine year old McKenzie Smith has a very serious form of cancer and is currently in an experimental program at University of Alabama's Children's Hospital.  The long term prognosis is not favorable, but that doesn't stop McKenzie from embracing each and every moment and opportunity to live life to the fullest -- including accepting an invitation to ride on a blimp!

McKenzie and her family enjoyed a ride in the skies over the Gulf Coast, courtesy of Believe In Tomorrow and our Hands On Flying partner, the Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Blimp.  Your support of Port to Fort and other Believe In Tomorrow Fund-raisers enables us to continue to offer programs and services that bring hope and joy to critically ill children and their families.

Comments about Believe In Tomorrow's Respite Housing Program

"We had just arrived and were unpacking our things...As Dennis walked by the foot of the bed (in the room we were staying in) he stopped and lifted one of the two finials off to look inside.  I could see by the look in his eyes that he was remembering something. He proceeded to pull out a cocktail napkin that had been shoved up inside the finial that had the words written 'Jack McGuire was here.' We were all stunned, as we remembered the rainy day during our stay two or three years prior that Jack scribbled his signature and hid his secret message. So while we miss Jack terribly, we know he is with us and we knew that evening he was at the Believe In Tomorrow House by the Sea."

"WOW!! What a week we have had. You have given our family the much needed time to be a family again. We all have laughed, cried, giggled, screamed and most of all HAD FUN!!"

"Thank you Believe In Tomorrow for a wonderful getaway. This is exactly what we needed as a family. Not only is it a beautiful house but it's a wonderful place for my family to make some great memories."
